June 15th, at the invitation of SKLGME, Donald Huisingh, the founder and the chief editor of Journal of Cleaner Production, visited IRSM and had an academic exchange. The report was held by researcher LI Qi.

Professor Huisingh delivered the report with the title Why and How Do You Think You Can Help to Accelerate the Transition to Equitable, Sustainable, Livable, Post-Fossil Carbon Societies?. Based on the current ecology, he represented a series of serious problems, such as energy crisis, CO₂ emissions, greenhouse effect, extreme climate, environmental degradation, ocean acidification, underground energy storage and sustainable development. He emphasized the systems thinking, it raised the discussion between researchers and students. After the meeting, Professor Huisingh, Professor LIU Yang and researcher LI Qi had an in-depth exchange with each other, including the IRSM international construction and top talents exchange around the world. Meanwhile they briefly discussed the relative matters of JRMGE, listened to some suggestions and methods from professor Huisingh, the editor of the famous SCI journal. In the afternoon, Professor Huisingh visited CO₂ geological utilization and environment solid waste disposal laboratories. He highly appreciated the international construction level and the awareness of engineering hotspot service of IRSM. Professor Huisingh's visit and report broadened the international vision, stimulated the enthusiasm of innovation and international communication among students.
