According to the notice from NSFC (National Natural Science Foundation of China), IRSM gets 26 NSFC Program in 2016. These 26 programs respectively are 1 Creative Research Groups Program, 12 General Programs, 13 National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. The total direct funding is over 20 million, there is an increase of 45% above that of the corresponding period of last year, the national ranking is 196.

NSFC is one of the main channel state funding for basic research, also it is  one of the important source of basic research projects in IRSM. IRSM applies 71 NSFC programs this year, 26 programs are approved.

At present, the funded project directors prepares the project research plan, carry out the working conditions as requested, in order to ensure working smoothly.
