Doctor YUE Zhongqi from Civil Engineering Department of The University of Hong Kong visits IRSM in the afternoon on April 22, he makes academic reports on two topics, Methods and Experiences of Researching, Writing and Publishing High Quality SCI Papers, and Several Original Theories, Applications and Rules of Classic Mechanics Theory and Modern Digital Technology in Rock and Soil Mechanics and Engineering. Deputy Director SHENG Qian from IRSM hosts the academic meeting.

With his scientific research and working experiences in more than 30 years, Doctor YUE describes a set of method system of researching, writing and publishing high quality SCI papers. He divides SCI papers into two broad categories, original scientific rule and original engineering technology. YUE lays stress on independent thoughts about natural phenomena and engineering problems in scientific research field. Doctor YUE elaborates on the thinking mode differences between China and the U.S., he suggests that researchers should concentrate on a focus in the paper conception. By putting forward natural diagram thinking method, YUE encourages researchers to change their action mode from following to thinking. Afterwards, Doctor YUE elaborates on several original theories, applications and rules of classic mechanics theory and modern digital technology in rock and soil mechanics and engineering.
