Vice President ZENG Yijin and experts from SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Engineering (Sripe) visit IRSM on April 22. Researchers from IRSM communicate with experts from Sripe about scientific problems in shale gas development, including rock mechanics problems, fracture initiation and extension law of hydraulic fracturing, and field microseism monitoring in fracturing process. They also discuss about the progress of IRSM research program, the Change Law of Staged Fracturing Stress for Horizontal Well.
Sripe is an affiliate of Sinopec Group; it is a wellbore technique research and development organization. Sripe is the brainpower of Sinopec in petroleum engineering technique development, the research/development center of the high and new petroleum engineering techniques and the supporting center of domestic and international petroleum engineering.
Sripe make technical breakthrough in problems including rock mechanics parameter calculation in shale formation, fracture recognition and prediction, and characteristic description of shale reservoir project.
ZENG Yijin is the Vice President of Scripe, he is also the member of Chinese petroleum society and SPE society. ZENG has published 3 books and more than 50 papers. He obtained 3 Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress, 2 First Prize 5 Second Prize and 6 Third Prize of Provincial Science and Technology Achievement. ZENG has long been engaged in research of petroleum drilling technology.
