2013 Equipment Training Organized

In order to familiarize scientific researchers with the equipment operation, 2013 equipment training is organized by IRSM from April 21 to 24. The experiment test center of IRSM invites technicians from the equipment manufacturers to give lectures, more than 30 researchers and leaders of Purchase and Repairing Project are present at the training.

The training of distributed fiber optic measuring system of rock mass stress and deformation is organized on April 21. The system is introduced from OZ optic company from Canada, it is able to measure the parameter of stress and temperature at the same time, which could be applied in long term monitor in field deformation of rock and soil engineering.

The training of large scale parallel numerical analysis system of rock and soil engineering, and multi-field coupling parallel numerical analysis system of rock mass are organized on April 22. The first system is introduced from Sugon, it is able to do fine stimulation of major rock and soil projects. With the field monitoring data, the system could predict and evaluate project stability by using parallel calculation technology to have timely feedback analysis. The second analysis system is introduced from Comsol in Sweden, it focus on stimulation analysis of major rock and soil projects.

The training of dynamic response parallel numerical analysis system of engineering rock mass and parallel numerical analysis system of jointed rock mass deformation mechanism are organized on April 24. The two systems are introduced from ANSYS and ITSCA in U.S.A.
