The first working conference of MSWI Fly Ash Solidification Treatment Standard, which is compiled by IRSM and CUCD (China Urban Construction Design and Research Institute), is held in Beijing on June 18. Leaders and engineers from MOHURD (Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development), IRSM and CUCD are present at the meeting.

As the host of the conference, DONG Yixin from MOHURD introduces present leaders and experts. Director LI Dawei from MOHURD focuses on the importance of Standard, he stresses that the Standard has practical significance to the MSWI treatment technology development. He affirms the preliminary work of complier team, and hopes that compliers could finish the Standard with innovation. LI puts forward some constructive suggestions to fly ash solidification quality control, test method and operation qualification requirement.

Researcher XUE Qiang and Doctor LI Jiangshan from IRSM deliver a report about the compilation significance, compilation method, technology route, compilation outline, work division, schedule and key problems in the compilation. Experts and representatives from compilation institutes have further discussion on compilation outline, they put forward construction suggestions to the application scope and testing index.

DONG Yixin makes a summarizing speech at the end of the conference. He stresses that compliers should identify the Standard application scope, the compilation should focuses on fly ash solidification safety and method practicability.
