From Sep 27 to 29, the 2nd Young Researchers Academic Forum is held by IRSM. Director LI Haibo, Deputy Director WANG Daguo, KONG Lingwei, SHENG Qian, 95 young researchers and leaders from other departments are all present at the forum.

The forum is hosted by KONG Lingwei and SHENG Qian. LI Haibo delivers a report with the title Some Thoughts about IRSM Development. He introduces the evaluation of key laboratory of IRSM, expresses the reform spirit of General Secretary XI Jinping, LI also puts forward the general ideas about IRSM development. WANG Daguo introduces the finance and security situation. LU Kaiyang delivers a report to analyze the relationship between honesty and honest scientific research, stressing on the importance of honest research. Researcher FENG Xiating, President of ISRM, talks about three demands on young scientific researchers. The first is to make good use of domestic and international communication platform. The second is to establish scientific research theory and technology system. The third is to draw out talents and contribute to the laboratory development.

Academic communication proceeds in two meeting rooms, more than 40 young scientific researchers make academy reports on their research field and programs, including experiments and monitoring of rock and soil mechanics and engineering, theoretical model and numerical method, design theory and construction technology.
