Research Project of Rock Burst Regulation Method Passing Appraisal

On April 22th, the research project Study on Rock Burst Development Mechanism, Early-warning and Dynamic Regulation Method, hosted by Wuhan IRSM, passes the science and technology achievement appraisal. The appraisal conference is organized by Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Department, the appraisal committee consists of 7 experts including WANG Mengshu and ZHENG Shouren.

Rock burst is one of the common disasters in deep engineering. With the increasing  buried depth and ground stress, frequent rock burst in underground engineering is seriously restricting the safety of major project construction and mining.

To deal with the difficulties in accurate prediction and reliable control of rock burst in deep engineering, the research project combines multiple technologies in the research, including comprehensive artificial intelligence, mathematical statistics, rock and soil mechanics numerical calculation and multi-information real-time monitoring. The research project emphasizes objective reality of rock burst developing process and its evolution features, researchers explore a set of new methods about rock burst development mechanism cognition, rock burst early-warning and dynamic regulation.

After listening to the research report of the project team and asking questions about the research project, experts from the appraisal committee come to an agreement that the independent innovative research achievement has international impact, it is applied in many major projects successfully, the research project gains conspicuous social and economic benefits, and it has great theory value and wild application prospect.
