2012 Annual Innovation Seminar Held

On March 23 and March 24, 2012 Annual Innovation Seminar is held by IRSM, CAS in Wuhan. More than 30 officers attend the seminar, including Li Haibo, Head of IRSM; Wang Daguo, Secretary of the Party committee; Vice Head Kong Lingwei, Sheng Qian; Feng Xiating, Director of State Key Laboratory of Geomechanics and Geotechnical Engineering and the ISRM President.

The seminar have two steps. The first step is the discussion about National Key Laboratory Evaluation. Feng Xiating makes report to analyze the evaluation situation, evaluation process and  index, he also introduces the evaluation of national key laboratory. Zheng Hong makes out plan for the evaluation achievements of national key laboratory and correlative events.  

Wang Daguo stresses that the whole institute should focus on the evaluation of national key laboratary, ensure the evaluation achievements and  smooth acceptance.

Li Haibo points out that the development of national key laboratory is important to the institute development. Since the national key laboratory established in 2006, the laboratory insist on the innovative conception "Assignments promote Subject, Base Develops Application, Technology serves Project", the laboratory have gained more than 100 key technological achievements, making positive contributions to the subject development of Rock and Soil Mechanics and national economy construction. Li also says that we should take the opportunity of national key laboratory evaluation, summarize the scientific research achievements and research direction in recent years; compare to the national key laboratory evaluation standard and request, find out the distance, clarify the direction, enhance the scientific innovation ability of rock mechanics and geotechnical engineering.

The second step of the seminar focuses on the developing targets of "135", combines three major breakthrough and five key cultivation directions. Wei Changfu reports on Hydrate Soil Mechanics and Application; Zhu Changqi reports on The Mechanical Characteristics and Engineering Safety of Regional Sea Soil; Feng Xiating reports on The Safety Analysis and Dynamic Regulation Theory of Deep Soil Mass Engineering; Zheng Hong Reports on Evaluation Theory and Control Technology of High Risk Engineering Slope Safety; Kong Lingwei reports on Special Soil Mechanics Characters Decays Mechanism and High Speed Transportation Engineering Deformation Control Method; Yang Chunhe reports on Comprehensive Utilization Theory and Technology of Salt Rock Underground Dissolved Cavity; Li Xiaochun reports on Mechanics Stability evaluation and Monitor Technology of CO2 Saline Water Layer Sealing; Xue Qiang reports on Disaster Prediction and Control of Waste Landfill Operation Process.
