The program Dynamic Evaluation and Design Method of Disaster Risk of Large-Scale Cavern Group and Deep Tunnel, proposed by researcher FENG Xiating from IRSM, wins support from International Cooperation and Communication Program of National Natural Science Fund with 3150, 000Yuan.

With further development of the west area, and more construction of highway and high speed railway, there will be plenty of tunnels and underground cavern groups. The risk evaluation and control of large-scale cavern groups and deep tunnels under complicated geological condition will become new technology problems. The program Dynamic Evaluation and Design Method of Disaster Risk of Large-Scale Cavern Group and Deep Tunnel focus on large-scale underground cavern groups and deep tunnels, researchers build example database of disaster effect and risk of large-scale cavern groups and deep tunnels, they put forward identification method of rick elements, reveal evaluation regulation of risk elements. Researchers also establish risk probability level standard, risk loss degree standard, risk level standard and risk acceptance criteria based on quantitative index; put forward corresponding relationship between risk evaluation result and disposal measures. The program builds overall risk evaluation method and dynamic evaluation method of partial risk, puts forward dynamic risk optimized design method under the consideration of geological information and risk evaluation result update.
