General Manager and Director of Engineering Department of Shanxi Tiansheng Surveying and Mapping Engineering Co.,Ltd (STSME) visit Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics (IRSM) on July 31. The two parties have a science and technology exchange symposium and sign a strategic cooperation framework agreement. Deputy Director SHENG Qian, Head of Scientific Research Plan Department and other researchers from IRSM are all present at the symposium and signing ceremony. The symposium is hosted by JIAO Yuyong, Head of Scientific Research Plan Department; SHENG Qian from IRSM and CUI Junliang from STSME sign on the strategic cooperation framework agreement as representatives.

On the symposium, JIAO makes a brief introduction about the history of IRSM, recent work progress, received scientific research achievements, innovation "2020" and "135" Development Plan. SHENG sums up the cooperation between IRSM and companies, and points out that the research field of high speed transportation roadbed is the key research part of "135" Plan. SHENG stresses that the cooperation is beneficial to technology innovation improvement and scientific technology achievements transformation promotion. CUI Junliang has a detailed description of company developing history, company advantages on engineering survey, subway monitoring and precise network controling and measurement of high speed railway. He suggests that the two parties should seek cooperation opportunities in fields including sinking deformation monitoring and stability analysis within high speed railway operation period; and subway monitoring and analysis.

After the symposium, IRSM and STSME have deep communication about specific cooperation forms and fields in the future, they come to an agreement on making full use of their advantages to build cooperative research team and establish a sustainable cooperation mechanism afterwards. Accompanied by Deputy Director and deputy researcher of experiment test center in IRSM, experts from STSME visit the experiment test center and have a brief look at the scientific research equipment manufacture and scientific research platform construction.
