The first working conference of CTSA-CCUS is held in Beijing on Feb 19th. Researcher LI Xiaochun attends the conference as the representative of Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics (IRSM) Wuhan. IRSM is a member of the strategic alliance.

Deputy Director KANG Xiangwu from Society Development Technology Department of Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) makes a speech at the conference; the conference is hosted by Zhaoyi, Director of Huaneng Group. The first Secretary-General of CTSA-CCUS reads out the annual working plan in 2014 and other working arrangements. Afterwards, representatives and experts from CTSA-CCUS members make suggestions to the strengthening of research and cooperation in CCUS field.

CTSA-CCUS establishes the Council and the Standing Council at the conference. IRSM is selected as the Standing Director, which is the only scientific research institute in CTSA-CCUS Standing Council. In addition, Shenhua Group, China Building Material Company (CNBM), Nanjing University and Hunan University are accepted as members of CTSA-CCUS at the conference.
