Recently, Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China (ISTIC) announces the list of papers selected as Frontrunner 5000, Top Articles in Outstanding S&T Journals of China. The paper Field Response Tests on Expansive Soil Slopes under Atmosphere written by researchers from IRSM is included in the list announced. The paper was published on Chinese Journal of Geotechnical Engineering in 2007.

Frontrunner 5000, Top Articles in Outstanding S&T Journals of China is a program set up by ISTIC to make better use of outstanding academic achievements in China. By quantitative analysis and peer review, the program selects about 2500 outstanding papers from 300 outstanding Chinese journals.

ISTIC will connect the Frontrunner 5000 paper platform with key retrieval systems at home and abroad. By taking advantage of WOK international retrieval system platform, Frontrunner 5000 platform will have literature linking and international citation retrieval on the same platform with SCI database. More outstanding papers from China will be introduced to the international academy circles.
