According to the announcement from S&T Paper Statistic Result Release Conference of China, Rock and Soil Mechanics, the academic journal hosted by IRSM (Wuhan), CAS, is awarded Outstanding S&T Journal of China 2011. This is the first time that Rock and Soil Mechanics wins the award. 

Another thesis of Rock and Soil Mechanics is awarded Top 100 Most Cited Chinese Papers Published in Domestic Journals. It is Research  on Application of Strength Reduction Fem in Highway Tunnel(The first author: Zhang Liming, Qingdao Technological University, 2007,28(1):97-101）)

According to the S&T Journal Citation Reports of China 2011, Rock and Soil Mechanics is cited 4404 times in total in 2010, the influencing factor is 0.839. The total cited frequency of Rock and Soil Mechanics ranks first in mechanical journals, the influencing factor ranks second, it also ranks second in comprehensive subject journal list.
