Recently, according to the notice from editorial department of Natural Gas and Oil, researcher Li Xiaochun from IRSM(Wuhan), CAS is employed as the editor of the journal.

Natural Gas and Oil is a technical journal hosted by Sichuan Petroleum Engineering Corporation. The journal aims to promote advanced technology of oil gas field ground construction, it mainly reports the latest technology achievements such as oil and gas storage and transportation, oil and gas processing, communication and automatic control, corrosion and anti-corrosion, mechanical equipment, electricity, thermal, heating and ventilation, environment protection, engineering geology and measurement, industrial and civil buildings, technological economy, computer appliance, technology management, etc. Natural Gas and Oil won the prize of Best Quality of Technology of The Second Journal Quality Award in Sichuan Province.

In recent years, the journal has payed much attention to technology progress in CO2 capture and storage, it tries to attract outstanding theses of the field to increase quality and impact of the journal. Researcher Li Xiaochun is employed as the editor to enhance thesis editorial and review ability.
