On March 15, experts from Scientific Research Support Management Office of Planning Finance Department of CAS check the testing system of rock and soil meso-structure and multi-field coupling characteristic, which is the 2011 special repair and purchase fund project of IRSM.

After the report of project process and finance made by researcher Xue Qiang, experts from the acceptance team ask questions about special fund management, equipment purchase process and documentary management. Afterwards, experts inspect the equipment installation and operation at site, and check the documentary materials of 2011 repair and purchase special platform. The expert team fully affirms the management and implement, all the experts agree with the acceptance of the project.

The testing system of rock and soil meso-structure and multi-field coupling characteristic is supported by the special fund of the Ministry of Finance in 2011, the support fund is 5560,000 yuan, and the construction platform includes S-3400N SEM, X-Ray Diffract meter, high pressure pore structure analyzer,etc. The project starts with  rock soil mass particle microcosmic displacement mechanism, mineral structure, chemical component changes and multi-field coupling process, making experiments such as rock soil mass microcosmic structure characteristic test and image observation. The project aims to explain the macro-mechanical characters and ecological environment effect mechanism of rock soil mass, form the environmental rock and soil engineering experimental platform for rock mass microcosmic structure analysis and multi-field coupling character testing analysis.
