On March 20, The trial operation evaluation meeting of Deep Rock Mass Mechanics and Engineering Safety Research innovation team international cooperation partner plan is held in IRSM. Cao Jinghua, vice director of Bureau of International Co-operation CAS and other officers from Bureau of Personnel and Education and Bureau of Science and Technology for Resource and Environment have attended the meeting. Famous professors are invited as the judges of the meeting, including Professor Zhong Denghua, vice principle of Tianjin University and academician of CAS, Professor Qin Shunquan, chief engineer of China Major Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd and academician of CAS. Meanwhile, researcher Zhu Yaozhong of Wuhan Branch; researcher Li Haibo, President of IRSM; Wang Daguo, secretary of the Party committee; vice president Kong Lingwei and main members of the innovation team also participate in the evaluation meeting.
Researcher Feng Xiating from IRSM delivers working report of innovation team as the team leader, three overseas members, Professor Cui Yujun of ENPC, Professor Shao Jianfu of USTL and Doctor Xiawen of University of Toronto also give academic reports.
The innovation team faces to international advanced problems of national major project construction needs and rock mechanics, combines research merits and advantages of team members from home and abroad, the team closely focuses on research direction of deep rock mass mechanics and engineering safety prediction regulation theory. It has obtained international influencial research achievements in several respects, such as in-situ test method of deep-lying tunnel excavation damage zone formation and evolution process, coupling mechanics model of deep-lying brittle marble elastic-plastic, hard rock true triaxial test system, correlation effect of sandstone tensile strength water softening rate,etc. It also lays strong foundation for new safe excavation mode of deep metallic ore and theory system development which is combined with high efficient excavation of mineral resources and deep major project disaster prevention.
