Jun 23rd, at the invitation of IRSM, a world famous scholar, professor of the University of Tennessee, Chief Editor of Journal of Cleaner Production Professor Don Huisingh and Linkopings Universitet Professor LIU Yang visit IRSM, and deliver academic reports, report is hosted by Researcher LI Qi.
Professor Don is international renowned scientists in the field of clean production and sustainable development. As one of the main experts, he promotes the establishment of the world's first ecological industrial park project - Sweden Landskrona industrial symbiosis projects, founded the Journal of Cleaner Production (JCR impact factor is 4.959, 2015). Professor Don devotes to sustainable development for interdisciplinary education and path research for systematically solving social problem, the researches focus on development policy, green concepts and innovation technology, and helping the government and industries to seek sustainable methods to prevent the environmental pollution. In more than 40 years of researching and teaching time, he has published more than 300 papers.
Professor Don delivers an academic report with the title Why and How do You Believe that We Can Help to Accelerate the Transition to Equitable, Sustainable, Post-fossil Carbon Societies? From the recognition of social crisis, seizing the opportunity in crisis, taking reasonable means of sustainable development, he explains the efforts we need to make for realizing sustainable post-fossil carbon societies. Report begins with the case of air pollution in several cities in China, points out the natural environment crisis we are facing now, and then expounds the necessity and urgency of realizing the sustainable development, puts forward the methods and technology of solving the problems. After that, Professor Don focuses on the problems of writing high quality scientific papers, from the perspective of a senior international SCI journal editor, he explains matters needing attention in Writing and Publishing First Quality Scientific Manuscripts.
In the afternoon, Researcher LI Qi, Professor Don and Dr. LIU exchange their results for CCUS environment risk research. Company with the related technical staffs, they visit the sewage treatment plant of Tangxunhu in Jiangxia District, Wuhan.
