On Jan 24th, 2014 Academic Committee Meeting of State Key Laboratory of geomechanics and Geotechnical Engineering(SKLGME) is held in Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics(IRSM) in Wuhan. The meeting is hosted by Director-General Academician XIE Heping.

Director LI Haibo from IRSM gives a welcoming speech at the beginning of the meeting, and thanks for all the work that SKLGME has done.

Director FENG Xiating of SKLGME delivers a report that introduces talents cultivation, scientific research projects and progresses, cooperation and exchange, existing problems. He also reports on research progresses in four research directions. In addition, Deputy Director-General ZHENG Hong reports Open-end Funds Operation Rules Reform Plan and 2014 Open-end Funds Evaluation and Support. In the meanwhile, academic committee gives previous opinions and suggestions, also has high expectation in the aspect of leading professional development.

After the meeting, FENG Xiating on behalf of SKLGME to thank academic committee, he expresses that focus on opinions and suggestions, thinks seriously about the future development, strive to establish SKLGME to the benchmark of this field.
