On Jan 27th, at invitation of IRSM, Professor WANG Laigui from Liaoning Technical University visits IRSM, delivers a report with the title Discussion the Problems in Application for National Natural Science Funds.

Professor WANG Laigui elaborates three key problems in application for national natural science funds from system theory, those are select topic, preparation and write application. He points out that innovative and academic valuable topic selection are the basis of national natural science funds; adequate theory preparation, experiment preparation, and academic preparation are the guarantee; writing application should clear research contents, technical route should reasonable and effective, innovation should clear and have support, budget should reasonable, team organisation should have ability to solve key problems.

WANG Laigui, professor and PH.D. Supervisor from Liaoning Technical University. He mainly devotes himself to geomechanics and application. He is the member of 12th and 13th Reviewing Expertise Group of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and 1st Reviewing Expertise Group of recovery scheme for mining geological environmental protection and management (Ministry of Land Resources of the P. R. China).
