On March 28, Qu Guohua, the Master of Wuhan Branch of The Ministry of Railways Quality Supervision Station, visits IRSM and guides the railway settlement evaluation.

The outstanding characters of high speed railway are high speed, high density, high comfortableness and high safety. To meet the need of speedy, comfortable and safe, smooth and stable railway line is needed. To achieve the goal of railway smoothness and high stability, the settlement and deformation of underground structures should be controlled strictly, especially the vertical differential settlement. Therefore, before laying rail, the analysis and evaluation of underground structure settlement and deformation is needed to find out whether the conditions of laying rails are met. Since 2008, IRSM have taken charge in many railway settlement evaluation, and have gained good reputation.

Deputy director Sheng Qian expresses thanks to Qu's support to IRSM settlement evaluation, he also introduces the management conception of settlement evaluation, which is "Focus on Subject Frontier, Focus on Major Project".
