On Sep 29, Mixed Gas Displacing Coal Bed Gas Test Machine, the major scientific research equipment developing program of CAS undertaken by IRSM is accepted by Bureau of Planning Finance after on-site test.

The project Mixed Gas Displacing Coal Bed Gas Test Machine is allowed to establish in 2007, with the background of coal greenhouse gas emission reduction, large scale exploitation of coal bed gas and coal mine gas prevention and control, setting the application target of displacing coal bed gas with mixed gas. The project aims to develop a set of multi-functional(gas adsorption, permeation and rock mechanics experiment) mixed gas displacing coal bed gas test machine, on the basis of similar equipment from home and abroad.

After developing for 3 years, the test machine reach to 10 technological indexes requested by the project assignment, in which the adsorption capacity measure, permeation coefficient, measuring range and repeatability of swell-shrinking deformation exceed indexes requested, the machine realizes the coupling measurement of gas adsorption capacity-swell-shrinking deformation-permeation-mechanics parameters; The accomplishment of this project provides effective supporting methods to researching the process, mechanism and parameters of CO2/N2 mixed gas displacing coal bed gas, it will play an important role in the research of coal bed gas exploitation and utilization, greenhouse gas emission reduction and coal mine gas disaster prevention and control.

After listening to the research report from the project leader and test report from the test group, the expert group has on-site investigation and inquiries, they commonly agree to the project acceptance after discussion.
