The website and remote editing system of Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (JRMGE) are officially opened on January 8, 2009 through our efforts from many ways. The remote editing system includes four function modules such as online submission, tracking, expert reviewers and remote editing. Authors, reviewers and editors can complete the corresponding functions through website http://www.rockgeotech.org and click the function blocks respectively. Authors can fill in personal information, set up a username and passwords, upload manuscripts as WORD document format, as well as query the trial process of manuscripts through the system. Reviewers can login in the website by their username and passwords according to received review draft lists of manuscript to review articles and fill out the views. The editorial office can also process manuscripts through the system timely.

The opening of the remote processing system and the website of JRMGE will bring convenience to readers, authors and the editorial office, and improve the efficiency of manuscript processing. Authors and reviews are welcomed to use the manuscript submission system for contribution and querying of manuscripts, and reviewing. The reviewing is free, and the publication is also free for particularly outstanding contributions.
