On July 16th, CAS vice secretary-general Prof. Tieniu TAN, accompanied by Mr. Zhiqiang LUO, vice president of Wuhan Branch (CAS) visited IRSM and surveyed the current steps on international cooperation and informationalization of IRSM.

 
On behalf of the leadership of IRSM, vice director Prof. Haibo LI gave a brief introduction on scientific research and international  cooperation progress of the institute. Mr. Qianjun YANG, Chief of the General office introduced the information works - ARP (Academia Resource Planning), Chinese and English Websites of IRSM and network construction.
CAS vice secretary-general spoke positively of the development taken place these years at IRSM, especially for the progress on basic research. He also pointed out that IRSM needs to shift its research pattern towards an informationalized orientation, to strengthen its cooperation and make more contribution to the development of Rock and Soil Mechanics in China.
