On September 16, invited by researcher Feng Xiating-director of State Key Laboratory of Geomechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, IRSM, CAS; president of ISRM, Doctor Endi Zhai come to visit IRSM and join academic exchange as the president of North American Chinese Geotechnical Engineers Association.

Doctor Zhai delivers academic report with the title American Typical Transportation Geotechnical Engineering and California Anti-seismic Design Method. The report meeting is held by researcher Feng Xiating, more than 50 scientific researchers and postgraduates participate in the academic report meeting.

Doctor Zhai is the current president of North American Chinese Geotechnical Engineers Association and American Branch of ISRM, he is the first vice president of International Chinese Transportation Professional Association and president of Southern California Branch, vice president and technical director of American Kleinfelder Corporation. Doctor Zhai is the student of academician Qian Qihu, he graduated from PLA University Of Science And Technology, then got his doctor's degree from Kanazawa University, after graduation, Doctor Zhai engaged in post doctor research in The University of British Columbia and National Sciences and Engineering Research Council in Canada for 2 years.

Doctor Zhai devoted himself to cooperation and technology exchange between experts from China and North American, he establishes the exchange platform for Chinese engineers and North American Chinese engineers. Through the visit and academic exchange in IRSM, the bilateral academy and technology exchange is further enhanced.
