On May 26th, Professor Juang CH from Clemson University visits IRSM, and give an academic report with the title How to get published - understanding the publishing process. Deputy Director Researcher SHENG Qian hosts the report.

Professor Juang CH, as chief editor of international well-known journal – Engineering Geology, he shares the experience of publishing high-level SCI papers from academic essay writing skills and contribution attention aspects. Professor Juang emphatically tell about the importance of title, representativeness of graphs, writing key points of conclusion, and how to reply comments on peer review, etc. Finally, attendances have communication with Professor Juang for the problems of writing and contribution.

Professor Juang mainly focus on researching analysis of seepage for water resources and hydropower engineering, slope engineering, geomechanics, the theory of geotechnical engineering reliability. He hosted many science projects that are funded by multi-orgnasations, such as US National Science Foundation, US Geological Survey. He serves as more than 10 international academic organisations' chairman or director, and more than 20 international conferences' chairman or deputy director, published 130 SCI essays in international authority journals, such as Geotechnique, Canadian Geotechnical Journal, the cited times of his SCI essay is nearly 1400, SCI H-Index number is 21.
