Researcher LI Qi from IRSM is invited to attend the 2014 International Symposium of CTSC Chaire at MINES ParisTech in Paris from Dec 1 to 10. CTSC Chaire only gives invitation to 4 international CCUS experts from China, America, UK and Canada. The travelling expense is fully sponsored by CTSC Chaire.

LI Qi attends the symposium as representative of SKLGME and Underground Storage Research Center of Energy and Waste of IRSM. He delivers a speech with the title Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) in China. LI have a further discussion with CNRS member Bernard Tardieu on comparative study on energy and climate change in France and Germany and its inspiration to China CCUS.

At the invitation of MINES ParisTech, BRGM and IFPEN, LI has a visit to the university and institutes, he delivers speech with the title IRSM-CAS’s CCUS Research Activities and Its Role in China, and Hydraulic Fracturing Behavior of Sinian Shale from Sichuan Basin and Its Role in Gas Production and Carbon Sequestration.
