At the invitation of researcher LI Qi from Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics, CAS, Doctor Chaoshui Xu from Civil and Environmental Resource Engineering College of the University of Adelaide starts his one month academic exchange and visit at IRSM. Basing on the previous visits, the academic exchange will focus on research and development of equipments for indoor true triaxial test of rock in high temperature and pressure, and fluid displacement destruction test; numerical simulation methods and technology conception.

Doctor Xu gave a speech with the title Coupled hydro-thermal modelling for fractured reservoirs before he left on Sep 11. Doctor Xu gives a brief introduction to the University of Adelaide at the beginning of his speech; he emphasizes on the research fields of Civil and Environmental Resource Engineering College. He then continues with the coupled hydro-thermal modelling for fractured reservoirs. Doctor Xu shows the latest research achievements with the example of Australia HDR developing project at the end of his speech.
