Pile 2013 International Conference on State of the Art of Pile Foundation and Pile Case Histories is held in Bandung from June 2 to 4. The conference is organized by Parahyangan Catholic University and undertaken by Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics (IRSM), Chinese Academy of Science (CAS). Many experts from different countries are invited to deliver lectures on the conference. More than 260 experts from China, Japan, Korea, India, Germany, Australia and other countries are present at the conference. WANG Daguo, Secretary of the Party Committee; Doctor WANG Yaohui, Chief Engineer of Testing Center in IRSM; Doctor YANG Yongbo, Chief Engineer of Wuhan Sinorock Technology Co., Ltd are all present at the conference.

The topic of Pile 2013 International Conference consists of pile foundation design of tall buildings, tunnels, bridges and other projects; the latest research on pile foundation engineering under complicated foundation conditions and large diameter bored pile project; the latest progress of pile foundation test and the developing directions of pile foundation engineering in different countries.

Though the conference only lasts for 3 days, it sets off a knowledge wave of rock and soil engineering. An international platform is built for scholars and experts all over the world to communicate with each other. The conference ends in happy laughter.
