From Oct 14 to 18, researcher FENG Xiating, the Director of State Key Laboratory of Geomechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, and the President of ISRM, is invited to attend the 7th Asian Rock Mechanic Symposium held in COEX Meeting Center in Seoul, Korea. The symposium is organized by Korean National Group of ISRM; the symposium topic is about the present and future of rock engineering. Scholars and experts from China, Korea, Japan, Singapore, India, Iran, Israel, America, U.K., Germany, Sweden, Turkey, North Africa, Australia, Portugal, Indonesia, and Vietnam are all present at the symposium. 

As the President of ISRM, FENG Xiating delivers the opening speech on the opening ceremony, he gives a special report with the topic Mechanism, Warning and Dynamic Control of Rock Burst Evolution Processes. FENG also participates in the working meeting of ISRM Testing Committee. Afterwards, FENG gives a special speech on the dinner party of ARMS7 as the President of ISRM, he congratulates the ARMS7 on its successful arrangement, FENG also invites the representatives to attend the SINOROCK2013 Meeting which is about to be held in Shanghai on June 2013. 

On the night of Oct 14, FENG Xiating is invited to the Students’ Night of the symposium. He have extensive and specific exchange with worldwide young scholars and postgraduates, and answer their questions about the research.
