CAGS Technical Workshop Two Held in Shanghai

The second technical workshop of CAGS is held in Shanghai, China from 11 May to 13 May 2014. The workshop is organized by Administrative Centre for China's Agenda 21 (ACCA21) and Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Institutes including Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics; Chinese Academy For Environmental Planning; China University of Geosciences (Wuhan); Center for Hydrogeology and Environmental Geology Survey, CGA; British Geological Survey; The University of Texas at Austin; Geoscience Australia; and Global CCS Institute are all present at the workshop. LI Xiaochun, LI Qi and WEI Ning from IRSM attends the workshop at the invitation of ACCA21.

The Second Workshop aims to exchange and discuss with experts from home and abroad on key technology research progress of CAGS 2 cooperation program, and to promote the development of CCUS. Researcher LI Qi and Deputy Researcher WEI Ning makes reports on different topics, Risk Assessment: State of the Art Review and Guide to Localization Management in China, and Current Status and Gaps in Essential Technology, Equipment and Material for Implementing CO2 Saline Aquifer Storage Projects in China.
